Yeast Two-Hybrid Library Screening

The core will screen one of our libraries or a library provided by a client to identify proteins that interact with a protein of interest. The service includes free consulting on “bait” vector construction, and free background testing to establish the screening feasibility. More information. The screening will also work with investigators on projects to test for interactions among tens to hundreds of different proteins by matrix screening.

Liquid-Handling Robotics

The core is equipped with a Biomek FX and two Biomek NX liquid-handling robots. The robots have XYZ arms, including one equipped with a 96-channel pipetting head, and one with a SPAN8 head for re-arraying various formats (e.g., 96-well, 384-well, single tube, etc.). More information on robot capabilities and applications. A robotics expert is available to consult on projects, set up specific protocols, and help with operation of the robot.

C. jejuni ORFeome Clone Set

A set of C. jejuni expression clones, for expressing GST-His-tagged C. jejuni ORFs in E. coli, was constructed in the MPC laboratory. Clones are being distributed by Source BioScience.
