Selection of nodes/edges and the pop-up menus.
Users can select either one node/edge at the time, or select a set of nodes/edges. The selected nodes/edges can be re sized, colored, deleted and expanded; users can view node/edge attributes (node attributes are gene/protein attributes from the look-up tables; edge attributes are interaction attributes from the interaction tables).
To select a set of nodes, hold left mouse button, move cursor to include the set in the displayed rectangular, release the button. To select a set of edges, first select one edge, and then hold Shift key on the keyboard and left button on the mouse; move cursor to include the set in the displayed rectangular, release the button.
The process of invoking the pop-up menus is different on Windows and Macintosh platforms. On Macintosh platform to open the menu for an individual node/edge, hold "Control" key, position a cursor on the desired node/edge, click the mouse button; to invoke a pop-up menu for a set of nodes/edges, select the set of nodes, hold "Control" key on the keyboard, click the mouse button .
On Windows platform, to invoke pop-up menu for a single node/edge, position a cursor over the node/edge, click the right mouse button. To display the pop-up menu for a set of nodes or edges, select the set, click the right mouse button.
